About Ambedkar Circuit
The Ambedkar Circuit is the fourth special tourist circuit, after the Ramayana Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, and North East Circuit. The Ambedkar Circuit is dedicated to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who played a pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle and was also the architect of the Indian Constitution. Need and Significance
The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train on the Ambedkar Circuit has been launched with the aim of promoting tourism among a wider audience, besides the Dalit community who frequently visit these destinations as pilgrimages. Babasaheb Ambedkar spent his entire life working for equality and fraternity, and this train is a symbol of that spirit of equality. The passengers traveling on this train will not only enjoy the beautiful tourist destinations but also learn about the principles of Babasaheb Ambedkar and his contributions to the Indian society.
Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train
The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is one of the initiatives launched by the Ministry of Railways to promote the cultural and religious heritage of India. These theme-based tourist trains aim to showcase the cultural diversity of the country and attract a wider tourist base. The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train on the Ambedkar Circuit is being operated under the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ initiative, which is a joint collaboration between the Ministries of Tourism and Railways.
Dekho Apna Desh Scheme
The Ministry of Tourism launched the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ initiative with the objective of creating awareness among the citizens about the rich heritage and culture of the country and encouraging citizens to travel within the country.
